About the Stripe Fee Calculator

Stripe's standard US price is 2.9% + 30¢ per successful card payment. Cards issued outside the US add 1.5%, and charging in a currency different from your payout currency adds 1%. Manually keyed cards add 0.5%, and ACH Direct Debit costs 0.8% capped at $5. Add-ons are charged on top: Billing (0.7% for subscriptions), Tax (0.5%) and Invoicing (0.4%). Instant Payouts cost 1.5% of the payout, with a 50¢ minimum.

Elsewhere Stripe prices by card origin rather than adding surcharges. In the UK a standard UK card costs 1.5% + 20p, a premium UK card 2.8% + 20p, an EEA card 2.5% + 20p and other international cards 3.15% + 20p, plus 2% when currency conversion is needed. Germany and the euro area follow the same pattern with a €0.25 fixed fee. Canada is 2.9% + C$0.30, Australia 1.65% + A$0.30 domestic (GST included), and India 2% for domestic Visa and Mastercard, 3% for international cards, plus 18% GST on the fee.

Pick your country and payment method, tick the extras that apply, and the calculator itemises each fee and shows what you receive. The reverse field tells you what to charge to net an exact amount. Stripe keeps the processing fee when you refund, and each dispute costs a flat fee that's returned only if you counter and win.
