How it works
Different image formats suit different jobs, and this converter moves your images between the three most common web formats using the browser's canvas. Load an image, choose a target format, and download the result — with batch support for many files at once.
JPG is best for photographs: it compresses smoothly but doesn't support transparency. PNG is lossless and preserves transparency, making it right for logos, icons, and graphics with sharp edges. WebP is a modern format that usually beats both on file size at comparable quality and supports transparency too, so it's an excellent default for the web when you don't need older-browser compatibility.
The quality slider applies to JPG and WebP (PNG is always lossless). Because JPG can't store transparency, converting a transparent PNG to JPG needs a background — tick the "fill transparency with white" option to avoid black areas where the transparency was. Every conversion happens locally on the canvas, so your images stay private and there's no upload wait.
