How it works
This converter handles seven measurement categories from a single page. Six of them — length, weight, area, volume, speed, and time — work by converting your input to a common base unit and then out to your target unit, using precise conversion factors. Temperature is handled separately because Celsius, Fahrenheit, and Kelvin don't share a simple multiplier; they need offset formulas, which the tool applies through Kelvin as the base.
Pick a category tab, enter a value, and choose your "from" and "to" units. The result updates instantly and a plain-language line restates the conversion so it's easy to double-check. A swap button flips the two units when you want to convert the other way.
Conversions use standard internationally agreed factors (for example, one inch is exactly 0.0254 metres and one mile is 1609.344 metres). Results are shown to up to eight decimal places, which is more than enough precision for everyday cooking, travel, DIY, and study. Everything runs in your browser.
